The best harbinger of Texas’ multicultural future may be seen in the youth vote. A young, and more importantly, politically engaged Latinx generation that has seen firsthand the consequences of elections is ready to make a difference. Stephanie is a 17 year old youth leader and community organizer with undocumented family members. Her and her sister Vanessa have been active in registering young voters without ever having cast a vote themselves. This year both Stephanie and Vanessa will be able to vote and for the first time, their family will have a political voice in this country.
